My bad. I promised daily posts, excluding weekends. It's only been 2 weeks, and I screwed that up yesterday. I was going to post before I sat down to paint, but I figured I'd have a better decision on what to post about after painting.
But painting went WELL and you can't stop painting when it's going well, can you? And so I kept going, until it was like 8pm and I hadn't had dinner and then a massive headache checked in to let me know I'd been painting so well I'd painted myself into a headache. I still tried to remember to post, I remember thinking about it while putting together dinner. But that slid off the brain pan between eating and heading to bed. So yeah, headache, at a level that made it hard to fall asleep. Not sure if it was the concentration of painting and listening to audiobooks at the same time or just eye strain or both. They're both very significant things since the accident, though they have improved and hopefully will continue to improve. Not long ago I wouldn't dare consider an audiobook while painting or even by itself, because it was just too much input to keep up with. At least now I can do it, I just need to keep it to shorter stints. And with that, I've got to get out and shovel some snow. I just need to connect the door to the parts of the driveway that got plowed, so I'm hoping it won't be awful. The painting below is NOT what I painted. It's from last year, and fits with the snow theme. Yesterday's work was a pet portrait commission that's not quite done, but will show up in my portfolio soon.
